Oepfingen, Germany Below is a collection of my photographs of the town of Oepfingen, Germany which is on the Danube River and located in the state of Wurttemberg. In the 1880s the Braunger siblings (Johann, Sylvester, Anton and Ursula (Loberg)) emigrated from Germany to the United States. Today, descendants of the Joseph and Katharina (Braunger) Goetz family live in Oepfingen. Katharina was an older sister of Johann, Sylvester, Anton and Ursula. The pictures near the end of the gallery include the former barn and house location on Risstisser Strasse of the Braunger siblings' parents Lukas and Katharine (Benz) Braunger. Lukas is my generations great, great-grandfather. Both the barn and the house have been razed. I brought back some of the stones from the wall of the barn that faced the house before it was destroyed. Also, included is a picture of the final home of the Braunger family on 20 Hauptstrasse in Oepfingen. That house has also been razed. I also have stones from the wall of this house as well as the house number.
